Carly Snyder

Carly Snyder, M.D. is a Reproductive and Perinatal Psychiatrist who melds traditional psychiatry with a holistic touch. Dr. Snyder received her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. She completed her general psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center with additional reproductive psychiatry elective training at the Payne Whitney Women’s Program at NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. She maintains a private practice on the Upper East Side in NYC and served as Director of Women’s Health for Family Health Associates. Dr. Snyder is voluntary faculty at NY-Presbyterian Weill Cornell and Mount Sinai Medical Centers.

A former board member of Postpartum Support International, Dr. Snyder is currently on the Advisory Council and the Research committee, and was also on the Board for Help Us Adopt. Dr. Snyder is also on the Verywell Medical Review Board and the Parents Expert Review Board, and a member of the Independent Doctors of New York, Robyn network, and Women’s Mental Health Consortium.

Among many other honors and awards, Dr. Snyder was recently named a New York Times Super Doctor for the fifth consecutive year (2019-2024). Dr. Snyder’sHuffPost parenting blog is called ‘MD for Moms,’ and her radio show shares this moniker. She is a frequent lecturer on women’s health and wellness and a regular contributor and cited expert on many popular parenting websites and news outlets.

As a vegan and diabetic, Dr. Snyder discovered it impossible to find a nutritional bar for herself, her family, and patients not packed with salt and excessive calories, formulated specifically for women, and made of whole foods – so she created Mood Bars. With the recent launch of the bars, Dr. Snyder is thrilled to share her bars with the world.
