Chemyeeka Tumblin

Chemyeeka Tumblin, MSPH, LMFT, CD is a person passionate about creating change within Communities of Color, aiding in increasing access to quality care services within the Mental and Behavioral Health fields and ensuring, through sharing her own story, that no one feels alone on their healing journey.

She is a Public Health professional and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist whose work centers on Birthing Communities. Her work in Maternal Child Health on the local level led to her pursuing becoming a Full Spectrum Doula and now advocating for Maternal Health Nationally. As a Black Woman navigating the Health Care System she has experienced first hand both biases and racism which (along with some other life experiences) resulted in her creating PositivelyMyeek. It’s her platform for sharing resources and providing education around Mental and Reproductive Health, as well as opening up about her own life experiences.

When not in a Board meeting or sharing information on her socials you can most likely hear Chemyeeka on one of your favorite podcasts, as well as see her at a conference around advancing birthing outcomes. Lately she has been learning to rest, refill her own cup, and love herself during all seasons of her own healing journey.
